As I said in my last post, this one is Stretch Your Dies. There has been some fun stuff in here, let me just say. And even though class is (sadly) over, you can still take this – or any – of the Online Card Classes! I’ve taken several and all of them have been worth every penny.
On my Happy card, I used lovely glossy accents idea from Jennifer McGuire on the MFT Die-Namics HAPPY die. The background is made with the MFT Floral Fusion Cover Up Die. I stretched this die by cutting it twice and swapping the papers. I made the background paper with some Tim Holtz distress colors and cut it once from that and once from white and then swapped the pieces to create two separate backgrounds with no waste. I use micropore tape (sticky side up) under the base and it’s a real breeze to just pick up the pieces with the sticky tool and move the pieces back and forth. Micropore tape is acid free, very very thin and just sticky enough so that you can reposition something if you need to. Not to mention it’s alot cheaper than washi tape – AND is handy if you need to put gauze on a cut!
I now have another Flower Fusion base where the background is colored and the flowers themselves are white.
